Pearly white teeth and a beautiful smile are things that you don’t get a second shot at. If you want to maintain its beauty for a long time to come, it is imperative that you initiate preventative oral health care for your sled as well as for the children.
Take Care of your teeth
Preventative care isn’t as difficult as what some think that it would be. In fact, spending just a few minutes each day concentrating on your oral health is all that it takes to keep cavities away and the dentist happy.
First and foremost, regular visits to the family preventive care dentist is important. You should make these visits no less than once every six months. Head into the office more often if there are dental concerns in between these visits. Children as young as six months of age should go to the dentist, and all children should make their first visit by age one.
Brush your teeth twice per day. Use a fluoride toothpaste. Also be sure that you floss and rinse your mouth with outwash to freshen your breath. If you can brush during lunch, go ahead. An apple is a great alternative if you’re unable to brush.
Watch what you eat and what you serve to the kids. Avoid sugary sweets and drinks. Water is always the best drink to reach for. Limit a child’s use of the sippy cup and never put a baby or toddler to sleep with a bottle or a sippy cup.
Use these tips to keep your teeth and mouth in the best health and appearance for now and a long time in the future. You’ll be glad that you used these tips when that gorgeous smile is looking back at you.
